got back to my car lunch time and had some nice puddles of brown water on the mats pasenger side carpet in the foot well is soaking wet i have by pased the matrix for now so no heater for now sad.gif god dam pug fix one thing and some thing else breaks bloke at local garage has qouted £220 to supply and fit a new matrix

Do it yerself mate! dead easy!

Well not actually but there is a quick and easy way - Take the glovebox out!
There are two rivet things in the top rail, you need to drill those out, then when you refit use a couple of self tappers, works a treat!

The Phillips head screw that holds the pipes in is a bit of a stinker too! Best to get a very short stubby driver or a hex head on a ratchet.

Plain sailing after that

corection p2 405 matrix can be done without removal of entire dash

Did you take any photos? You could put together a little guide to help others out in the future?

Basically took out the glove box and then found that the lower bar bolts in and is welded to a tubular metal bar basically cut the tubular bar that it was welded to and hopefully the main bar should re attach
