Thats power steering fluid. Silly piping arrangement snuged in right under the sill, (clearly the best place for it
) had expired. Onto service box and laughed at peugeots prices, popped to B&Q instead and bought some copper pipe for £20. I got 7mm diameter, but to be fair 8 might have been a tighter fit.
Time to turn it into this, equipped with only an idiots (in car repair terms at least) knowledge and the incorrect tools (read a hammer) ->

Not a bad job I thought. The pipe was a little on the slack side of a snug fit so just made sure they extended well into the rubber hose and whacked butterflys on nice n tight ->
