Hi guys,

I need to find the Bitron control box on my 91 (Phase 1) Mi16. I've seen plenty of references to it being bolted to the steering column, but I can't spot it. Basically, I want to test the resistances of the engine temp sensor at different temps via the connector of the controller (disconnected of course).

Can someone describe exactly where the bugger is? Please?!

I've searched all over with the steering column surround off and can't find it. The previous owner was a bit of a gadget looney and all sorts of stuff was done to the wiring so I wouldn't be surprised if he's moved it, at least a bit. There's a central locking controller and a cruise control box there as well, taking up space...

Cheers

which Bitron box? Bitron is a manufacturer so theres several "bitron" boxes laugh.gif

I know on a P2 the fans are controlled by one bolted to the top edge of the inner wing behind the left hand headlamp.

Yeah, I know what Bitron is (Italian manufacturer of relays, control boxes etc.) but generally the fan controller is the one referred to as the Bitron box. Anyway, you figured out what I meant! (BTW my missus is from kaaaardifff).

Moderators, can I be taken off moderation? This delay in posting is pretty inconvenient, and I've been a member here for a while now. My lack of postings is only because this year I've been pretty ill.

Cheers

I've added some photos myself of the proper location of this box to the Aussiefrogs page linked to above.

I can't do it personally, but I'll PM Cybernck and get him to sort it. I know its annoying but if we don't moderate new posts/members then we get loads of spam links being posted up rolleyes.gif
