Took the car for an MOT and it failed on emissions, 1.13 at 2250 rpms where the allowable range is 0.98-1.03 (IIRC) the tester, who has tested this and other cars for me and the 'families' cars for a number of years, believed it could be down to the "slight blow for the manifold/downpipe gasket".

I have today run a diagnostic on it and it has brought up two codes, Code 25, which I believe to be the same problem as was had here as I have all those symptoms and also Code 52 Mixture Regulation, which I cannot find any reference to having search the site.

I have oreder from my local dealer a gasket fitting kit which is back ordered to early Jan and am waiting until then to see it this is the fix.

have you changed the oil/ plugs? dc the oil breather and run a catch tank coke bottle??

Changed the exhaust manifold to downpipe gasket and associated hardware which has solved the emissions problems, no more code 52 and a MOT pass certificate.
