It seems my nephew has gone walk about with my keys and unfortunately I do not have a spare.
I have given up on finding them and will take the ignition out to have a key made to fit (found an auto locksmith who will do this). I have gotten into the car but am now stuck with the ignition.
The haynes manual says the key is required to remove the ignition but I don't have this. I know it can be removed without it, as when I got the car the ignition barrel was screwed and the key would not go in. when this happened I had the lock smith remove the ignition and a mechanic replace it (hence my reluctance to go through this expensive process again).
Any ideas how I can get this out? I was totally ripped off the last time I had to have this replaced so I sure as hell don't want to go through it again
