Hi,
I wanna know if the XU7JP4 piston and the XU9J4 are the same ? because due of not havine forged piston for the XU7JP4 I want to knw if possible to put Xu9J4 forged piston in it . coz they are 83mm but is there any difference at the connection of the rods ?

in another word.. does an mi16 piston fit in a citroen xantia 1.8 block ?

yes the bore is the same, but they do not fit the rods and are much shorter, put simply they will not work.

WHERE CAN I ORDER THE XU7JP4 PISTON FOR THE XANTIA 1.8 LX, SAME BLOCK ON THE PUG 406 1.8 LX .. I CHECKED ON WOSSNER PISTON CATALOGUE THEY DNT MAKE THIS PISTON !

Just order custom spec pistons then, just tell them what specs you need and they will make it no problem.

this will not work if you plan to use an XU9 crank.

Yes I know, Am using the complete lower block of the Xu7jp4 ! it has the same compression as the mi 10.4:1... and I think will rev quicke due to lighter crank !

I hardly can see the crank is any lighter really.

Maybe 0.5kg or something compared to the XU9J4.

The Xu7 stroke is 81.4 mm versus mi16 stroke is 88 mm
I came to knw I could use the 205 gri 1.9 crank.. 88 mm crank !
