hi guys, i was just wondering how much bhp could the mi16 1.9 engine could handle if i turbo charged it?? taking in considiration that compression ratio will be decreased and all what will be needed for safety?>?

my brother runs .8bar (6psi??) on a standard compression 1.9 mi16 and makes 250 bhp, and is going strong.

250 hp sounds great, add some GSXR Throttle bodies plus air ram and add another 50, giddy up haha, i am building a motor in the near future to get that much bhp, will keep you posted.

IMHO probably not - or else the airflow meter could hardly compute that much air, plus it'd be a hard task to cheat the ECU all the time. Add the figuring out the right injectors and, not to mention, the absence of a knock sensor!
