ok first of all ive wimped out / changed my mind about the 3.0v6 engine conversion (check forsale section smile.gif )

i already have a 2.0 mi16 in fairly standard form and i have just bought a lemans which is mostly stripped by the previous owner.. which cost a whopping £62 smile.gif

but my project is a 405 glx due to its very tidy shell and lack of sunroof! smile.gif

i definatly want to use the 2.0 engine in the glx as i already run one and want to see what a tuned one is like.

so what i want to know is...

Q) if you where modifying a 2.0 steel block mi16, how would you do it?

plans so far are throttle bodies and management but what about cams? 2.1 conversion? head work? balancing?

thankyou smile.gif

I'd do a 2.2L conversion - 2.1L diesel crank, 2L Mi16 rods and custom 87mm pistons, standard head and one of my Stage I cams. It makes around 230hp. Read the full story here:

im liking that alot, does the engine rely more on low end grunt rather than revs?

i have all the parts for a 2.1 conversion how does this compare?

i've just read that the 1.9mi16 crankis partly the cause of the oil surge??
