Hi all, just need to pick you brains quickly.
my 205 gti recently developed a slight missfire when cruising at a steady speed, it then progressed into kangerooing which has got quite fierce over the past few days, also ive noticed the oil pressuge gauge dropping right down too nothing for a split second then going back to normal. today the kangerooing got really bad and the engine was badly misfiring up until the point where it died completely, ive checked for fuel and spark and they are both there. theres no oil in the water or visa versa also theres no high pressure in the cooling system. anyone got any ideas, could it still be the headgasket, maybe gone between cylinders? sad.gif

Sounds more like an electrical issue?

Is the coolant level dropping at all?

hi mate, the coolant levels ok, dont appear to be losing any.

I'd have a look at the idle regulator as a start. If that dosen't work correctly, it'll give a too lean or rich mixture - Niether makes a gti run well.
