Hi all,

A quick question - does the 23.8mm Brake master cylinder from a 406 fit to a 405 Mi16? The max diameter used for a 405 with ABS was 22.2mm, whereas the 605 used 23.8mm (4601.A4) and the 406 used 23.8mm (4601.K8).
AFAIK the 405 T16 running 283mm rotors, also used a 23.8 master and a modified servo.

I've just bought a 22.2mm Metelli master cyl (i have 1995 year Bendix ABS installed), but now pondering a more powerful 23.8 from a 406 as I'm planning to switch to 406 4-pot Brembo calipers.

Will the 22.2mm master and 255mm brake servo cope with Brembos and ABS? Or is a switch to 23.8mm a must?

Many thanks!
JeffR
The 406 23.8mm m/cyl will fit. It's tight vertically, but fits onto the servo unit no probs.

I also ditched the larger abs servo when I removed the abs & used one approx 2cm smaller from a non abs mi16.

Cheers

I see, thanks for the info! Why would you want to throw out the 255mm servo? I thought it was a must to have with the bigger 22.2 or yet the 23.8 master?
