I need a new power steering ram for my Mi16 - old one is on the way out. Also control arm bushes and a miscellany of other parts. Am happy to import directly from England, Australia or other...but I need to find a good supplier.
Recommendations please!

Hi Peter,
You can get Sasic lca bushes, sway bar bushes, inner & outer tie rods, etc from European Auto Imports Melbourne Aust-
www.eai.net.au
I run all of the above in the Mi16 track car with no problems.
As far as steering rams go, I'd try you local wreckers first. A bit hit & miss whether you get a good one, but make sure you can return it if it's faulty or develops a leak.
Good Luck!

Thank Jeff
I've just sent a "shopping list" off to the good people at EAI - will speak with them on Monday top see what they can supply.

update:
Have ordered a steering ram, selection of suspension bushes, and selection of HT ignition parts (leads, disti cap, disti rotor) - all from EAI in Melbourne. Looking forward to parts arriving in next week or so. Car will then be treated to a fresh suspension including new Koni yellows all round.

Where are you getting the Koni's from? Good price? May also be interested in knowing the pricing of the bushes.
Cheers

Just collected the car - what a difference 48 hours makes!
Koni Yellows and suspension top mounts supplied by my suspension specialist...Kevin Richards at Shocks Brakes N Tyres on Kenepuru Drive, Porirua. Control arm bushes, power steering ram and related parts imported by me direct from www.eai.net.nz. Stephen Mitchell provided great service and shipped everything I needed.
While the car was in, Kevin changed the transmission oil and re-aligned front wheels to 0mm (factory spec is 1mm toe-in, so my request will sharpen the turn-in a little). Pressures set at 35psi cold.
Drove the car in heavy rain today - felt a lot tighter than before. Can't wait to see the improvement in the dry!
Hope this helps.

Wow, that's way CHEAP! Could you please advise me on the details of where you purchased that ram? I believe that yours is for right-hand drive, correct? Would they also supply a ram for left-hand drive? It could so work out that it could be cheaper for me to order, pay and have shipped into Ukraine a ram than it is to buy it here in Ukraine, because they are waaay too expensive.
Many thanks in advance!
rodion.
