Has anyone on here fitted 306 coilovers (or other kinds of shock absorbers) on their 405?

And what did you do about the rear shocks?

Thanks.

Hi there! D.B.205 has gone all the way with those mods - you could check the Pictures thread with that discussion. 306 are a straight fit with only the ARB mount needing to be cut off from the strut. AFAIK for rear ones people use Koni yellows.

Ah, indeed! I knew someone (other than Ecosse) had done it.

no to be honest, i bought a set of those really cheap nasty 306 coilovers off ebay (raceland) just to confirm that they will fit a 405 mi16!
which they do! they seam a well made item but are soft as sh1t!! but they will eventually be swapped onto my base model 205!

hence why i am after a set of the gaz's!

its crazy how 205, 309, 306, 405 shocks and springs all mix and match!

OK, from what I understand, the 306s have shocks as long as 405s, but 309 GTIs have 15mm shorter shocks, eg the same as 405 T16s, right?

Thanks
