new to the fold, is there a manual for the acav system or can anyone tell me some pointers to ensure its set up correctly. Mine dont seem to run right after 4k. Isnt pulling like a train and I believe it should?

So anyone got any pointers? I think the MPG is suffering because of it to. Any help would be greatly appreciated

It has been covered before , probably best to use the search function...
Basically , i have had the same problem with black beauty , ( p2 mi16)...Things to look for is air leaks in the plastic pipes , leaks from the diaphrams...
A common modification is to change the acav system for the 306 gti6 manifold , which i did ( against my mechanics advice) , but its not been right since i did it , so my advice is fix the acav system...There are ( i cant find any) no books etc to show you how to fix it ....

Does the ECU have a vacum feed? It has a flat spot between 3.5-5k but both valves operate so im wondering if the ecu isnt changing its fueling when the valves operate?

yes it should have, the MAP sensor is inside it.

Right so I guess that if the valves operate ok then the next avenue would be the vacum pipe to the ecu. Where is the ECU on these?
