I saw a BTCC 405 which had manual winders in the front doors. Presumably for weight saving.

So what model would they have come from, or did they use the rear winders (maybe modified) to fit?

GL, GLI (maybe some GR/GRI) models have manual winders.

Thanks mate-I'll check out a few at the local wreckers.

It seems all the 405's which came to Australia had electric front windows, so no possibility of finding the manual mechanism locally.

My only hope for this conversion would be if someone on here would be prepared to source the bits required. It's possible the lower spec models could have have been exported to NZ.

This is what I need-

Thanks

Is the glass the same? It is'nt always the same for electric and manual on pugs

Good point! I checked the parts cd & front glass is 'without title', so luckily all the same.

Jeff,
Do I dare mention polycarbonate window group buy?
I would think we could get them cut locally.

If SRB would supply the rear screen seperately as its moulded, the side windows could be done locally, but it's not a priority for me at the moment.
