hi guys as the title say's im wondering weather a ph1 mi16 would be any good as a rally car vs a 205 gti.
i have a complete mi16 sitting there doing nothing as i got a better one for the daily car.
my question is, has anyone rallied a 405 on the dirt what weight did you get it down to?
this is compare it to a 205 gti which is smaller lighter and was still going to use the 16v is either car
cheers Jason

I hate to say it but a 205 is always going to be lighter than a 205.

IMHO the 205 as a RALLY car will ALWAYS be better than the 405, especially on dirt.
As a TRACK car the 405 will OFTEN be better than the 205 if built and driven right.

Mm, I would probably be hesitant to compare the two, but Italian Peugeot Sport actually chose the 405 over the 205 for their rally program and they were optimistic of their car saying that it was more stable on the road and handled a bit better than the 205. Don't know if that was entirely true, but the fact they used 405 for rallying is true.
