Hi,I was checking out the stock air intake and was wondering if there is any benefit using an after market pod type. The intake plastic piping seems a bit restrictive. Anyone tried any mods in this area. Dave.

It's not as restrictive as it looks, well least not on a standard engine. The main problem with a cone type filter is the heat in the engine bay means it'll be sucking in more hot air than with the standard set up.

Yes I was thinking that and I suppose if a pod were better then it would be OE. A bit of 100mph tape should rectify the brittle/worn intake plastic. Thanks,Dave.
