WTF?!! Who's in charge there then? Sadam?

Greetings!

I am Eric, president of the Swedish "Peugeot Sport Club".

For the time being, I'm not driving my 405Mi16 -90 (race car), that car has been to rusty to be legal to drive on Swedish roads, the alternative is to make it a pure racecar, something that is closer to reality than to make it road legal again.
But unfortunally I'm living about 250Km from where the car is, so neither of the alternatives can be reality until i can get a proper garage in my new living area.

For road use I have a 406 2.0 -00, dirty and smashed. cool.gif that is used as a substiute on the trackdays until i can drive my Mi16 again.. Its a weird feeling to driva a standard car on tracks where I'm used to drive a car thats is rebuilt to fit just that purpose. blink.gif

But I'm still a 405 fanatic (even though i would like to build a 406xu9j4 racecar right now)

Hope i can contribute with something to this forum.

/Eric

Welcome smile.gif I know a few people who also live and work a good distance away from where their cars are stored. Bet it must be quite hard! Good luck with the project.

Good to see brand new forum.

Thanks.

Just got told about this forum so thought I'd join up.

I have a 1991 Mi16 in Graphite. Not done too much to it.
Lowered all round, Spax adjustables. K&N and FSE valve.
Bit of ICE - 12" Sub and 7x10's etc.

Found this forum through Kris.

( I was the other half in the MiD project laugh.gif )

About time is all I can say. Fast and fun as they are, I'd ditch a 205 Mi in favour of an original 405 Mi16. Or BX 16v (which I own) laugh.gif

Besides, if the engine gets used in another shell it should be a 309.....miles better than the 205!

Keep up the good work!

Just been forwarded here by cybernck from the 205GTIDrivers forums, heres a little about myself,

My name is Andy (27) i am in southend in essex, i have just recently bought a 405 1.9 TD of a friend due to needing a car with 4 doors and bigger boot due to a new arrival in June, and must admit the TD engine is pretty perky for a diesel, i will eventually make it look like a mi16 (not some peoples taste meaning it looks like one but doesnt perform like one why did yer do it rolleyes.gif ) but i like the mi16 but cant afford one and to run one due to the new arrival soon.

Heres a pic of my £350 bargain:

KRISKARRERA
Welcome Andy, looks like a nice enough motor from what I can see in that pic. Looks like phase 2 so I assume it's the 1.9 TD yeah?
Andy405
Thanks for the welcome, i believe its a phase 2 it has the 1.9 TD engine smile.gif and the only other external thing i see which is different is the bootlid this one is all metal it hasnt got the plastic part with the lock in it, make sense?
KRISKARRERA
Hehe yeah that's phase 2.
KRISKARRERA

KRISKARRERA
Welcome Stuey, did u find out about this forum from my post on AussieFrogs?
Stuey
Hi Kris; I saw a link to it in a thread there, the one about the modern engine transplant. I've been away from AF for a while, though.

Hey, how do you format the signature without the tags showing in it? I'm hopeless with this stuff.

Cheers

Stu
KRISKARRERA

G'day Kim! smile.gif

I like the way you Aussies have respect for the 405 Mi, in fact if I hear one more story about a 205 conversion I'm gonna migrate to Austrailia and move in next door to PeterT laugh.gif
Kim_in_Melb
Hey Kris,

Too my eyes...performance aside...the 405Mi is a much prettier (read sexier) car to look at!! And from reading up on it.....cash(or a lack thereof) is the only thing stopping it whipping more 205's on the track.

Added some pics on the board (thanks Robley ;-) )

And your right about PeterT....how does he know sooo much?? smile.gif)

Take care mate
