Although this not strictly Peugeot related, it is motoring related!

Some of you may have heard about the Mongol Rally, for those that haven't it's an 8000 mile drive from Hyde Park to Ulaan Baatar in Mongolia, all for charity and all in a car with a maximum engine size of 1 litre! Here is a link to the 2006 rally site Mongol Rally.

Me and a friend are planning to do the rally next year. We have the car - a 1987 Daihatsu Charade Gtti. This car is about as rare as my 4bie and accelerates as fast, all from a 997cc 3 cylinder turbo charged engine! It's the fastest 1 litre production car ever made, so what better way to travel to Mongolia! Our website tracking our progress can be found at Team Feersum Endjinn homepage

In order to enter the rally teams need to raise £1000 pounds for charity. We have set up a Just Giving website Our JustGiving page where people can donate money directly to charity. Our donation to charity will be the car, when we get to Mongolia we have to sign the car over to a childrens charity in working in Mongolia, and they use the cars to raise funds for their good works.

If anyone out there is feeling generous please donate, all your donations will go to a good cause. We will also send all who donate a unique postcard from somewhere on our travels, so be sure to leave me your name and address! Thanks for reading this, and wish us luck.

Also if anyone knows of any companies that would be interested in sponsoring our little adventure, (we are intending to get as much press coverage as possible, both local and national) then get in touch.

Thanks again,

Alex.
