Nice and tidy Pete, red like mine, seems to be alot of the red ones left.
Cybernck, what are we supposed to do when we reach the image limit for a thread?
Ive reached my limit already.....I guess you have to delete the images on your manage attatchments before uploading anymore.

Well I've resorted to using imagevenue to host them, I'll have to ask Cybernck and see what he says. I know there was a big fuss on 205 drivers because people were putting up muhassive pix.

I really dont care what its called - I love it!

Nah, Graphite grey is darker and was used on the 205 GTI.
What confuses me is the difference between steel grey and winchester grey lol

Len405
Apr 21 2006, 09:14 PM
That looks like the same colour as the first 405 I had - a 1.9GR as a company car in 1988. (E316 BAM) loved that car!
I think it was called Royale but cant remember for sure
KRISKARRERA
Apr 21 2006, 09:26 PM
I think that might be regency red, which is confusing me because I thought it was only the lesser 405s that came in regency. My first 405 was in that colour and polished up nicely, doesn't fade like cherry red.
Here's a pic. 1.6 GL - the carburettor version. Had over 115mph out of that old devil.

Yeah, that looks very similar. Have to admit, I've never seen a 405 Mi in that colour either. Theres a few normal 405s round here in the same colour but I've yet to see an Mi in my colour.
Glad it should polish up nicely, it looks a bit sorry for itself sat in my garage with no engine and covered in dust!

Hehe past it's best eh? I was lucky with mine, I seemed to be able to keep up with 8 valve 2 litre Sierras. Maybe someone had slipped in the 1.9 carb engine on the quiet.

Thats it Kriss - definitely Regency Red. I remember now!
The Royale was a Vauxhall colour I had on a Cavalier!
The 1.9 GR I had was good for 130mph!!!! Honest gov.
KRISKARRERA
Apr 24 2006, 05:12 PM
Yeah apart from reliabilty issue with the carburettors they were good engines. Pug brochure has the 1.6 carb as being a good couple of seconds quicker to 60 than the later fuel injection 1.6. Sorry Nicosia I'm going off topic again arent I

. It's on it's side having the floorpan seam welded at the moment. Unfortunately it's been like that for a couple of months now as none of us has had a spare few hours to finish the floor. Might be another year or so before it sees the light of day but the interesting thing is that you wouldn't believe how good a 2 door Mi looks

The 405 Coupe as seen in the Climb Dance video would have made a cool production car. And then change the engine mounts so the engine can't fit elsewhere

Me neither but if it's only having 1 seat we decided it would be quite good to do it as a 2 door (you've got to do something different every now and again). As soon as the floor is welded and it's been sprayed i'll get some pictures but it could be some time.
