Surely you know that this will adversely affect the brake bias distribution, apart from looking a bit funny

so plan is to chop the old bars in two, and try to knock it out, should be easier possibly.
If not I will try to drill em out

Brake bias shouldnt be affected tbh? As the rear beam is original height, and this is the only place that have a compensator. Anyway I recently replaced the compensator and I didnt really get out of the way to adjust it correctly
