Agree, at least it used to look very good.
Need to sort the paint out if I'm to keep it for a little longer.
Got my hands on some T16 wheels also, have not got them here yet, but they're waiting for me at a mates place approx 20 miles away

. Not sure what to use them for yet.. The 17" have a puncture on one tire, and the others are more or less worn out too. Can't afford new tires due to my 205 Gti project

Gertys got some new alloys and has only just got back on the road after being sat on my drive since july last year and needs a damn good clean so soon as shes had a bath and polish with new alloys i shall post away. in the meantime heres me and Deans track beast,we only got it running this week after saving her from the scrapman cus some nasty man had her for its engine for his 205,he was only a few miles away and the shell was in great nick with only 70k on the clock,We bought an accident damaged mi16 and took the engine from it to put in her so thats one mi16 saved from death

We shall soon be in the process of stripping her, welding back doors and sunroof, cage and buckets along with some nice graphics and stickers so she's gonna look mean and watch out 205 boys

Ming blue

The most commonly available colours in Australia were white, red, sorrento green and black, a few ming blue ones around but not many; same as steel grey models, a few floating around, but not as common as the aforementioned colours.

Thanks Rob. Yes I hope Maxi stays away. Actually I don't mind people puuting the mi16 into a 205 or 309... the problem I have is that is usually means the end of the road for a nice 405. Oh and also some of these guys act so proud about killing a 405.

What engines did you have in your 205s?
RobMGti
Mar 12 2006, 03:00 PM
One was a standard 1.6 i converted to full 1.9 on Twin Webber 40's. The othe was my track car, white 1.9 with full HiFlow stage3/4 engine, shortened inlet manifold, short tracts, Max torque cam etc etc. Wasnt really driveable on the road but was damn good fun

Went to its new home a few weekends back

Theres some gorgeous mi's on there.
i recognise jason beardsall's mi.....the blue one with the white pug lion acroos it.He owned it for years before seeling it about 4 years ago to some kid who wrote it off in a matter of weeks of having it.Also recognise the red one that belonged to that kid in the pgac who dropped a citreon turbo lump in it,he bought it to pugfest a fww times, was extrememly messy and not well done at all though.

to bad for the blue mi, that one was one of the first I collected and still one of my favorites.
Alsow why I felt in love with the 405, and the old 405 from my parents

Mar 13 2006, 10:51 PM
Yea it was a shame....it wasnt to everyones tastes but it was one of a kind and he spend a fortune on it.He sold it for a very small amount and was heartbroken when the kid he sold it to wrote it off....he obviosly couldnt handle a powerful car
Ive got a 405 folder of many different mi's and a few of them are on your site,
this is my favorite...

Odd that when using firefox the thumbnail images open as a pure windoww of code with no picture present yet IE will open the thumbnails fine.
Im on the latest version of Firefox, cant see a reason why it shouldnt be working.
