Full Version: Best Induction Kit And Exhaust System?

What is the best induction kit for the Mi16 in your opinion?

Also, I will need a new exhaust soon, so would like a full system, and these seem to be hard to find. Not sure if it needs a cat or not - the car is a Mi16x4 1992 J plate! wink.gif

And grrrr... Cleaned the inside of the doors and door shuts today and found a load of rust on the top of the back passenger side door! sad.gif Obviously been a bit neglected in the past then...

Won't need a cat as it is a J reg. I don't know of any aftermarket performance exhausts for the 405, everone seems to have stoppped making them for them sad.gif

As for induction kit, I'm sure the K+N one is as good as any. The ones I have used in the past were fine

Found some exhausts smile.gif Jetex and Piper

I assumed you wanted an uprated/performance exhaust?? Didnt think to ask that unsure.gif

405 mi16 4x4 exhuasts are totally different to normal mi16 405's.

your be very hard pushed to find an on stock item. Best is to go to powerflow or somewhere and get a custom made system. I take it your not after standard exhuast?

Ah sorry my mistake, didn't see it was for the 4bie. Yeah, knew they were totally different exhausts, have to bend round the propshaft etc

There's also a company just outside of Salisbury whcih makes custom system's, Not as loud as Powerflow

Yeah, I was thinking aftermarket/performance... The car needs a new one soon, so thought I might as well cough up for something decent! wink.gif

I'll look into Powerflow then! Otherwise it's gonna be custom!

An induction kit and bling exhaust will make the car look and sound better but most Pug engines don't seem to gain much bhp if anything if the engine is standard.
Boring old fart aren't I! biggrin.gif

this is the only kit i will be getting. smile.gif

£200! ohmy.gif You could make your own insulated fibreglass induction box, with a direct cold air feed from the bumper for less than half that. Thats what I'm planning when I get the time smile.gif

What sort of filter would you use..? smile.gif
